STAFF PICK: Everything’s Peachy by Matt Berry Trio
“While most people know Matt Berry for his over-the-top vampiric role in What We Do in the Shadows, he’s also built a deep catalog as a songwriter. Drawing from ’70s UK library music, psych, jazz and folk, Berry has explored a remarkable range throughout his musical career. His latest album, Everything’s Peachy, channels the cool, cinematic jazz of Sorcerer-era Miles and one can almost hear Portishead’s Beth Gibbons’ haunting vocals coming in at any moment.” – Patrick Selvage, vinyl buyer
