Ned Ned Trailfest
Noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, TEENS, Inc. 151 East St., Nederland

The only way we’re running at altitude in the late summer heat is for charity. That’s exactly the case with this race, which benefits youth programming at Nederland’s own TEENS, Inc. Choose from 5K, 10K or half-marathon distance. Don your costumes and bring your dog. Not into running? You could always lend a hand; volunteers are needed to help run the day’s festivities.

Looking to learn a little about the hidden world around us? Drop by the Old Gallery in Allenspark for the latest installment of the local art institution’s Learning Lecture series. This month’s event focuses on lichens, the composite organisms formed by fungus and algae that serve as keystone species in many ecosystems.

Jammin’ the Bou Room

Want to get up close and personal with local art? The Peak to Peak Studio Tour has got you covered.
